Clements Marine help celebrate BW SeaCats latest launch

Clements Marine has recently supplied all the stern gear for a BW SeaCat ‘Clarissa’ which was launched in December 2010. She is currently based in Plymouth and is used for commercial fishing.

The 5th launch from the S.P.E.E.D series vessels built by BW SeaCat performed very well during its sea trials.  ‘Clarissa’ achieved a maximum sprint speed of 20 knots with an average top speed of 18 knots over a number of runs with and against the tide whilst on trials. Keeping an eye on running costs a more comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots at 2300rpm is likely to be enjoyed more regularly.

The owner took the new vessel to her home port of Plymouth and on route was delighted with the sea keeping performance. The vessel will be lifted in Plymouth for final fitting of all her fishing gear.
