General Company News

Wet Summer seasons don't come with much good news, but Clementsmarine has much to be pleased about. Turnover is up despite metal surcharges being down. Alsio, Proprevs at Poole continue to grow despite restricted growth of sales to raindrenched UK customers. What next? Steady as she goes with continued growth and stability. We are a privately owned company with ambitions to improve our sales reach annually, and manufacturing capacity and effectiveness. You will then not be surprised to find that we are consolidating our foundry on the Little Staughton site at the end of the year from leased premises in Luton, expanding our dealership network in Europe for 2008, and investing in further CNC machining and design capacity at head office. In a world where growth is often preferred, sacrificing profitability and stability, Clementsmarine over the past 7 years have consistently produced steadiness and reliability for our Customers. We look forward to METS in Amsterdam in November where you are all invited. Please let us know you are coming.

July 2006

Metal prices down.

Good news. The speculators seem to have given up on copper. LME Cash Copper is down nearly 30% to levels of early May. Still a way to go, but a good start.

June 2006

We have shorter delivery times and faster propellers!

R+D on a new semi-surface drive propeller range is coming to and end. The results are very impressive and we should have a press release ready for you with technical data for the summer. At the same time, production efficiency is up, and faster turnaround of orders is the result. All good for you as the customer.

May 2006

Surcharges bite!

Due to the increase in demand from the East and speculation on the metal markets, non-ferrous metal prices have surged ahead in April by over 25%. This makes a 60% increase since 01 January most of which we have had to pass on to our customers. A monthly metal bulletin is available on request. Needless to say we will reduce this metal only charge just as soon as prices reduce.
